The Boutique That Put Falkirk on the Fashion Map

Founded in 1996 by Lauren Brown, Sisters and Misters has grown from a bold idea into one of Scotland’s most celebrated fashion destinations. What began as a womenswear boutique quickly evolved when Lauren spotted a gap in the local market—and followed in her father’s footsteps. His menswear shop once stood in the same street in the 60s and 70s, and Lauren brought that legacy full circle by dressing the Misters as well as the Sisters of Falkirk.

With a sharp eye for product and an instinctive understanding of her customers, Lauren curates collections that blend homegrown labels with celebrity and catwalk-inspired pieces—delivering designer style at an accessible price point.

The boutique’s impact hasn’t gone unnoticed

  • Winner of Drapers Best Young Fashion Independent in the UK
  • Ranked No. 30 in Drapers Top 100 Inspirational Independent Stores
  • Peer-voted Best Individual Womenswear Buyer at the Pure London Power Buyer Awards

Lauren’s influence extends beyond the boutique. She proudly designed the official Falkirk FC football strips in 2015, 2018, and 2019—flying the flag for fashion and football in her hometown.

Sisters and Misters isn’t just a boutique. It’s a legacy, a love letter to Falkirk, and a destination for those who dress with confidence and character.

Proud Partners of Strathcarron Hospice Since 2015

Giving back is woven into everything we do at Sisters&Misters. Since 2015, we’ve proudly supported Strathcarron Hospice, donating 100% of our carrier bag charges to help fund their compassionate care. And we’re not stopping there—Sisters For Strathcarron returns in 2026 with our biggest fundraising extravaganza yet.

This time, it’s a 90s nostalgia fashion show where the most iconic, collectible pieces from our boutique’s past 30 years will hit the runway. Expect vintage gems, archival treasures, and plenty of throwback flair—all styled to raise vital funds for a cause that’s close to our hearts.
